Will you help her reach her goal of building, working, and providing for her children with a retail shop?
We need One-Time donations and monthly partners to keep this vital ministry going each month.
Maama Naggitta is fierce. She had polio as a child and now has to walk using all four limbs. Before we knew about it, she was walking to our bible study this way, along red dirt roads, near cattle and other livestock, etc. Once Phiona found out, she started picking her up.
We've gotten to know Maama Naggitta as part of our Lumuli community. She was widowed 6 years ago and all but the tiniest house and land were taken by her in-laws. She has 5 children and 3 grandchildren. She tries to run a brick business, but it takes a lot of up front investment and she doesn't have the ability to do the labor herself.
Maama Naggitta dreams of owning a resale shop. This will be the biggest project we've fundraised for to date. We are looking at a minimum of 2 million shillings - which is roughly $600. The fantastic news is that there really isn't any nearby in the village. When we went for sodas, it's about a 10-15 minute drive to the nearest retail center. Would you partner with us to make her new business a reality? As always, our projects are considered "Micro-Investments." Each women, after she becomes profitable and can pay for normal expenses, begins to pay back her investment into our community fund, which will go to fund MORE projects for the women.
Would you partner with us? $20? $50? Do you have a Sunday School class that could rally together and raise all $600? We are trying to get the money sent by August 15th if at all possible! Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Can you donate $25? Any number is welcome, but if we can get 24 friends to share $25, we are funded!!
We will keep you updated here with a percentage of what has been raised! Thank you so much for considering helping her!
